Crowds make their way through the beautiful streets of Virginia Highlands from early morning to late night. Located about 10 minutes east of downtown, Virginia Highlands got its name from the intersection of two main streets: Virginia Avenue and North Highland Avenue. In the early 1900s, a growing intown neighborhood that has become a diverse and trendy intown location formed around these two streets.

One of the most striking aspects of Virginia Highlands is the restaurant scene. From breakfast to lunch and dinner, you will find many original restaurants to choose from. The American Roadhouse is a great choice for an early morning breakfast. Patrons choose from a full course breakfast or an awakening espresso bar. If you're more interested in a relaxing evening, enjoy a glass of wine with dinner at one of the countless choices of casual or fine dining restaurants like LaTovola, Harvest or Dish.
