449 E Ponce

The 449 E Ponce and Ponce Properties buildings, located in Decatur’s Ponce de Leon Court Historic District, are listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Braden Fellman acquired the buildings in 1968, then completed comprehensive interior and exterior renovations to enhance the properties. Following an electrical fire in 2022, the 449 building became uninhabitable and required additional renovations. This latest update focused on reconfiguring the unit mix to enhance the living experience while preserving the building’s original character-defining features. These efforts not only rehabilitated the building but also provided distinctive, high-quality housing in Downtown Decatur.
